ABOUT IES
INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES (IES) exam is an all India level exam conducted by Union Public
Service Commission (UPSC) for the class -1 officer rank in the departments of Government of India.
Based on the results of this examination allocation will be made to several services or posts under the
following categories:
(a) Civil Engineering
(b) Mechanical Engineering
(c) Electrical Engineering
(d) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
