MPPSC Assistant Engineer Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) every year conducts exam for State Engineering Services for the recruitment for the post of Assistant Engineers. 

  • MPPSC AE exam is one of the most competitive exams out there where lakhs of students compete to get an opportunity to work as an Assistant Engineer in the State Engineering Services.
  • MPPSC has recently changed the pattern and selection procedure for the recruitment of Assistant Engineers in the State Engineering Services. The following information will guide you through all the necessary details.

The selection process is divided into two stages i.e. online exam and Interview.
The Candidates who clear the online exam will be qualified for the interview i.e last stage.
The MPPSC AE Exam Pattern for the online test has two parts and the time duration will be 3 hours combined. The interview will have a weightage of 50 marks.
To qualify for the post, a candidate will have to clear all the stages. After all the candidates finish the Interview round the commission will then release the final MPPSC –AE RESULT based on Exam and Interview.

The MPPSC AE Exam pattern consists of online exam and Interview. In order to qualify for the post, a candidate has to clear all the stages. Refer below to know the format of the exam.

Online Exam

  • There will be Objective-type MCQs and carries a total of 450 marks
  • The total number of questions in the exam is 150.
  • The total time duration will be 3 hours.

This is the final stage of the selection process of MPPSC AE Recruitment. Candidates who clear the online exam will be eligible for the interview test conducted by the MPPSC. The Interview carries 50 marks. After which the board releases the final merit list of selected candidates.
